Architects during ancient times valued the ornate in such a balanced way that we emulate many of the elements and motifs they used still. Given the beauty they achieved, we found it a fitting tribute to create the Pio Fragment, a petite sculpture illustrating how captivating a bit of history can be. Made of wood that has been treated to gesso and distressed gold finishes, the sculpture, which rises above a crystal base, has rich gold accents to lend the surface depth.
