I am so disappointed in the GE name on this unit. I'm not sure if it's GE's issue or Amazon's but, straight out of the box the pump doesn't work, which is the exact reason I bought this unit. My own error in thinking that it would work fine and, thus, tossed the box, which makes trying to return it a nightmare. DON'T BUY THIS.

Our only reservation is that the reservoir where the water collects does not slide easily out of the unit. Sometimes, if we're not careful, water ends up all over the floor; otherwise, as noted in the review title, it "works as advertised."

I love this dehumidifier so far. It's been 8 days and I don't have to lift out the bucket to empty it. I have the hose running into our laundry tub. It was simple to set up. Plus it's pretty quiet, like a white noise. Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent machine. Love the pump feature and that a hose is supplied with product. Let's you know when filter needs to be cleaned. This is our 2nd one. Highly recomend to anyone that has a damp area.

I looked up reliability for dehumidifiers and found they are generally lasting about 2 years for most people.Many complaints. While my dehumidifier is still young I can say it is outstanding. I have a large tub clothes washer that is filled nearly full between weekly washing. Not sure if this can be updated years into the future but I will check.

returned this item.....the humidifier worked, however, some of the moisture it removed would leak onto floor instead of into the bucket. Due to a poor design the water would splash on the top of the bucket causing some to enter the bucket and some to drip down the interior side of the device and eventually onto the floor.

My fiance and I purchased our first home in October 2021, and our basement is naturally very damp in New Bedford, MA. Already present was a 20 years+ dehumidifier which has to be emptied manually every 12 hours or so. When we installed this model, there was a drastic and immediate difference in the quality of air. The machine is quiet, drains automatically, and acts as an air cooler in warmer weather, a heat source in winter. Just found the registration card doing spring cleaning, and it's the first appliance I've ever registered! This thing promises to last for a long time. My in-laws have a similar one, and they gave us the recommendation for this brand. Thanks for a great product that functions the way it should, a great value in the short and long term.

Purchased due to condensation from windows pooling on windows sills. Two day using this dehumidifier on 45 setting and condensation gone. At 45 we have been removing 3-4 gallons of water a day from our 1500 sq ft cabin. First few days emptied when or near full. Today we're using the pump and draining into washing machine hose drain. So far……Highly recommend this dehumidifier.

I wanted quiet, and I got that in spades. I have it running in the bedroom! It is also terrifically efficient at removing moisture from the air: the old dehumidifier in the living room has not come on since I started running this one. It's a small, one-story house, and I leave the doors between rooms open, and this little guy handles the whole place. Well-built, too!

I bought this a little over a year ago (that warranty should be 2 year, but I guess they know most customers would return this after seeing how it really goes). Always stayed on Low setting around 55 level, but now it doesn't give accurate readings and sometimes runs and runs without stopping for 5+ hours when no setting has been changed and no change in temp has occurred. I have to plug it out to stop it and to get it to read the actual levels in the room differently (and still not correct levels). I will get rid of this machine and then try a different brand. I paid too much for this dehumidifier to not even last me 3 years.

We had to replace our dehumidifier due to a product recall. We have a finished basement that you could hang meat in the summer when the A/C is running. The old one never reduced the humidity below 55%. This one does a fantastic job, reduced humidity to about 40% and that actually warned the area as well.

The fact that you can leave this dehumidifier and let it perform all the work for you is awesome. This help removes moisture in my basement over the course of a week and it was very noticeable. The design is nice too. The only thing I wish I could do is set a humidity level so that it would automatically turn off once reaching it. Maybe that's in a more expensive model, but I feel that a pump model should be w little more automated to help save some energy. Regardless, I would still recommend this.

This is the sequel. First unit lasted for 39 months before electronics started acting up. The née one works well, except try is quite stiff to take out and put in. May be the Enginerring was changed to correct a defect in older models. Hope this one lasts for five years.
