I bought this dryer a few months ago. The dryer did not heat. called LG and the reaction was slow. The mechanian changed parts and did not solve the problem and asked me to pay for a gas company check. But do not understand why no new appliances added did not touch the gas line. lint vent are clean... Still can not use the dryer. regret the purchase.

Not Easy To Install with Propane Conversion neede

The store did say upon purchase that they couldnt install the Gas Dryer due to the fact it was Propane Gas and they dont connect to propane. That I would need to contact my gas provider for hook up. However my gas company and TB Webber refused to do the job because fear of being sued and voiding warranty. Because actually it not just installing it. The actually Dryer has to be converted to use propane. So I had to by the conversion kit the machine has to be opened up and it placed inside to convert it before it can be installed. All plumbers and appliance companies dont do this. This needs to be explained to customers with PROPANE Gas But now that its successfully installed I love it so quiet and easy to use However had to give it a 3 because of nightmare of installation

Bought this a month ago after all the other machines I was interested in were unavailable for immediate delivery. That said its a nice large capacity dryer that works pretty well. The energy efficient cycle leaves clothes a little too damp for my liking otherwise its not a bad choice... the washing machine on the other hand... I digress this is for the dryer which I would recommend. The Washing machine on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired

The dryer failed within first couple of months of usage. The burner needed to be replaced We also bought a washer that we delivered twice damaged. The third one was OK Very disappointed with the quality of the LG products

You put in some wet clothes and press buttons and when the dryer is done your clothes are usually dry. If theyre not you just press more buttons and do another short cycle and then theyre dry. Good stuff.

New upgraded replacement 2

We replaced an existing LG washer/ dryer combo with this unit. The others had lasted quite a while so we have good confidence in LG washer/ dryers. The new dryer is quieter very fuel efficient and does an excellent job of sensor drying. This new unit has more upgraded features than the old one and allows for many options for drying.

Year old. Works very well when you dont push the wrong buttons. Somehow we engaged the child lock. There is no child lock button. After hours thinking the error code was clean filter we called help line. Had to press and hold a button to clear. Lots of wasted time when a complete owners manual is not provided.

Nice matching piece to my washer. Does just about everything youd expect a dryer to do and overall Im satisfied. The only reason I took off a star is because there are a lot of extra features that can only be unlocked by connecting the machine to the LG app. Im fine with that however after spending some time trying to connect it I gave up. I will try calling to see if a tech can help but it shouldnt be this difficult. This isnt my first smart object Ive connected in my house so I cant say its the users fault.

We purchase the LG gas dryer along with our LG washer as a matching pair. The drying is so far so good as the quality is as good as its brand. However we found it to be much more noisier than our old LG dryer. It is possibly because it is gas not electric

Ruins my towels

I bought the washer and matching dryer about a year ago and I love them both. The problem is that one of them is destroying my towels but I dont know witch. See attached photos. This occurs on both high quality and low quality towels. I have resorted to putting my towels in mesh bags before washing and drying which seems to solve the problem. I could do some experimentation to determine which machine is the culprit but I dont want to destroy more towels in the process.

This is a lovely looking dryer. Unfortunately it never dries anything with just one cycle no matter what setting no matter what size load I have had to run it through 3 4 even 5 times before it all gets dry. I now do time dry because its the only way to get anything dry. We have only had this dryer for about a year and I have to say we are disappointed but hoping we can find a problem that can be fixed.

Never worked poor warranty response

The first dryer was not set up for my propane. The replacement dryer has never worked correctly and make constant noise. Warranty response has been sluggish and is unresolved weeks later. And still no perfectly working dryer. I have to dry every very hot.

Still The Best

The dryer was purchased to replace our 2011 DLGX3876V. Although very similar in features the DLGX4001B does dry faster and the dryness sensor is more accurate. We chose LG again because of its continued lead in reliability and performance over other brands. One thing was not improved upon was to backlight the control settings. They are very hard to read except in bright room light. I also wish that on a dryer of this class that the display screen was LED rather than of the segmented type. Certain numbers and letters can be hard to read on this display. Finally the steam function on this new dryer uses plumbed water instead of a user-fillable water tank. I have some concerns about using plumbed water even softened versus filling the tank with distilled water. Hopefully mineral buildup wont be an issue. Three quibbles on an otherwise excellent dryer.
